Taking day trips from London

In a small country like the UK it is easy to take interesting day trips, most people start their visit to the country from London so we will start from there.

You can easily visit Cambridge or Stratford by taking the many trains available from London. But if you want to visit a few places in the same day you either need to rent a car or take a tour.

I have found that Groupon often has a good sale on Day trips sometimes as much as 50 percent off.

You often have to visit the UK web site since for example the American web site does not show the tour or the discount.

Some of the most popular destinations are available I have saved 50 percent on tours all over the UK but they are almost always off season.

IWM Duxford

After leaving Alesund I flew with Norwegian Air to Oslo and then flew to Gatwick.

From London you take the Train from Kings Cross to Cambridge and from there to Duxford for the Museum.I decided to go on Sunday since a Shuttle picks you up near the Train station and takes you to the main entrance of the Museum.

The Bus is about 3 USD and runs about 3 times a day it is No. 132

It is a lot of fun to be close to the Aircraft that fought all through World War 2 and even watching them in action if any are being flown that day.

Make some time when you are in London and you can experience the Museum and Cambridge.

The Bus from Cambridge is about 30-40 minutes.
